The Occam factor 2020 small.jpg

Archaeologist Catherine Sands finds a previous life catching up with her when presented with a fragment of an ancient glass bowl that appears to be machine made, yet is more than fourteen thousand years old.

The Occam factor takes place in the year leading up to the opening of The Condyne paradox and explores the connection between Catherine’s search for Palaeolithic remains off the coast of Turkey and the discovery of a meteorite close to the Siberian town of Noril’sk over one hundred years earlier.

The Occam factor draws its inspiration from the origins of science fiction where science forms a platform to launch a story of mystery and intrigue.

Origins

The Condyne paradox was intended to be a much longer story but work and life got in the way. I then had an idea which became the Noril’sk and so it was not until 2010 that I started work on what would become The Occam factor. By then it naturally became a separate story.
